Merry Christmas

Patrina is all dressed up to wish you a Very Merry Christmas.  She is not real happy about it.  But, I think she looks really cute.  The stockings are hung (with a couple missing) and the packages are wrapped.  Just waiting for Santa to arrive.   Merry Christmas to all.

This is the progress I have made on the "Quaker Christmas - Songs of the Season".  I am loving every minute of the stitching.

Christmas Card Ornament

While shopping with friends recently I purchased an ornament that was make out of a Christmas Card.  I was sure that I could make one just like it.  The picture on the left is my first attempt to make one. It turned out and it was a lot of fun to do. I gave it to the friend that sent the card.  It was fun to see if she recognized her own card.  (She did.)

It was so much fun that I decided to use a greeting card.  I loved the way this one turned out.  It was sent to a friend that just found out she is going to have her first Grand Daughter.  I hope she likes it.

Well, the red thread finally arrived.  This is what I stitched last night.  I almost stitched this in DMC red and green floss.  After last night I am so glad that I decided to use the Gentle Arts thread.  The variation in the colors is beautiful.  This is a fun project.

This is a table runner that I finished last week.  I purchased the kit while visiting my friend Bonnie.  I think it looks pretty good.

This is want I accomplished last night.  The red thread has not arrived yet.  This is the largest piece of fabric that I have ever stitched on.  I welcome any suggestions on what type of hoop to use.

It's Here and Started

Don't you just love the pretty paper.

I am sooooooooo excited about the project I plan to start this week.  It is "Quaker Christmas 11 - Songs of the Season" by ByGone Stitches.  The chart has arrived and the fabric and thread should be here tomorrow.  This chart was love at first site.  I can use all the encouragement I can get.  I am a great one for starting projects, but never finishing them.

I joined Caroline's Cottage Cottons block of the month club.  We are doing the "Bonnie Blue Quilts Cotton Club" quilt.  This is the third month.  I love the fabrics in this quilt.  The blocks are beautiful, small, and fun to work.
