It's beginning to look like Christmas.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The stockings are hung.

The advent Santa is in place.

The jolly couple are ready to dance around the Christmas tree.

And, my Granddaughter's favorite reindeer is waiting for her. The little pillow saids "Who needs Santa when you have Grandma". Notice the quilt behind the reindeer. It was made and given to me by one of my best friends. Thank you Bonnie.

I have done a lot of sewing for Christmas this year. I made these little boxes to send some Christmas cheer. I love the rhinestones.

This is a quilt I made for a very special couple. Enjoy Bob & Betty, and Merry Christmas.

New Project - Paper Piecing

It has been a long time since I have done any paper piecing. But, when I ran across this pattern I thought I would try it again. I decided to make the background in a soft pink pattern. This is to combine my love for fly-fishing and Casting for Recovery.

With the weather today, I think I will stay inside and see how much I can get done.

It was a good and very windy day at the Horse Show.

So proud of the girls and their parents!

Miniature Doll

It has been awhile since I last posted.  Recently, I ran across a miniature doll kit I have had for Years.  It is a kit by Louise Hendricks.  The doll is a 1890's doll called Emma.  I decided that I would  but her together.  Here are some pictures of the finally finished doll.

I hope you can see the cute little buttons on the top of her pinafore.  She was so much fun to put together.  I don't know why it took so long.

This is going to result in more time
for this.  It has been sitting by my chair waiting for my return.

I have finally finished the applique block of the month quilt from 2011.  It is ready to send to the quilter.  I am really happy with the way it finished up.

Recently I took a peyote beading class.  My friends know I don't have enough hobbies yet - so whats one more.

In June of last year, a couple of my friends and I started a fabric postcard exchange.  I love getting these in the mail each month.  Here is a picture of last months exchange.

December 2011 Fabric Postcards

Yesterday, I was trying to finish this months postcard. I was sewing the edge on one of them when my little friend decided to SIT on my sewing machines foot control. I didn't know my machine could sew that fast. Here is a picture of my little friend with this months postcard. I can't show you the front, because I don't want Bonnie and LouAnn to see it, before it arrives in the mail.

November/December Blocks

This is a picture of the November & December "Bonnie Blue Cotton Club" blocks.  I have picked up the patterns for the month of January and they are cut out.  Hopefully, I will get them put together this week-end.

Today, I have been working on putting a "Block of The Month" quilt together. See picture below.
